Hmm....well, I wonder why he isn't asking you...however, if you're curious, you should simply ask...considering you haven't seen each other and you could approach it as: let's meet and catch up. That may work. When you see him, I'd do a hug. It is not in my nature usually, but if you want to appear open to more. Make sure he's single, though....at your first meeting, make sure you casually bring that up, just in case! :)
